THE FAULKNER HOSPITAL. 



RULES FOR ADMISSION. 



RESIDENTS. 

Persons resident in the old town of West Roxbury will 
be admitted to the Hospital as follows : 

1. To the eight-bed wards at $10.50 per week. This 
price entitles the patient to retain his own physician. A 
limited number of patients will be admitted to these wards 
without charge, if for any reason they are unable to pay. 

2. To the single rooms at $21.00 to $42.00 per week, 
or to the two-bed room at $15.00 per week. 

These prices do not include medical or surgical attend- 
ance. A non-resident physician may be employed, subject 
to the approval of two Trustees. 

NON-RESIDENTS. 

Persons resident outside the old town of West Roxbury 
will be admitted as follows : 

1. To the eight-bed wards at $12.25 per week, if their 
physician is a resident of the old town of West Roxbury or 
a member of the hospital staff. 

2. To the eight-bed wards at $14.00 per week, if their 
physician is a non-resident. 

3. To the single rooms at $21.00 to $42.00 per week, 
or to the double room at $15.00, if their physician is a resi- 
dent or a member of the hospital staff ; or from $21.00 to 
$42.00, if he is a non-resident physician. 

MATERNITY CASES. 

Only two maternity cases can be received at a time. 
Price, $21.00 per week for a two-bed room, or $28.00 and 
upwards for a single room. 

OPERATING ROOM FEE. 

A fee of from $5.00 to $10.00 for the use of the operating 
room will be charged all paying patients, and all free patients 
are expected to pay this when possible. 

Medical and surgical attendance is not provided for non- 
residents or for residents paying $15.00 or upwards per week. 

All physicians attending patients at the Hospital must 
be members of the Massachusetts Medical Society. 

Patients may be admitted to the Hospital at any time 
there is a vacancy, by a recommendation from their physician 
to the superintendent, either by telephone or in writing.
